Phonak Audeo EON Sphere E90 Hearing Aids Overview
Launched in September 2026, the Phonak Audeo EON Sphere E90 hearing aids are Phonak’s newest flagship hearing aid, helping you follow conversation when several people are talking at once in a noisy room. It’s a Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) hearing aid, a discreet style with the speaker sitting in the ear canal and the main body worn behind the ear, and it’s rechargeable.
Not sure what to expect? When you get in touch, you’ll speak with someone who can answer your questions and arrange a free hearing test if you decide you’d like one. The test is free, the advice is impartial, and there is no obligation to buy anything.

A dedicated chip for noisy speech
The EON Sphere E90 is built around Phonak’s new HYPERSONIC AI chip, dedicated processing hardware built specifically to separate speech from background noise, succeeding the DEEPSONIC chip used in the previous Sphere generation. This isn’t a software update dressed up as new technology; it’s real dedicated hardware working alongside the main processor.
Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0
The HYPERSONIC chip powers Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0, technology designed to extract and enhance speech from multiple speakers around you, not just from directly in front.
Phonak states this technology is now available at the Standard 50 performance level for the first time. E90 is understood to represent the strongest level of this processing within the range.
Connectivity and Auracast
Phonak states the EON Sphere E90 supports Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth LE Audio, and Auracast broadcast audio, and is compatible with Phonak’s Roger wireless microphones via RogerDirect.
Auracast is a newer Bluetooth feature that lets certain venues, theatres, museums, transport hubs, broadcast sound directly to compatible hearing aids, and Roger microphones are useful for meetings, lectures or one-to-one conversations at a distance.
Wind noise and everyday maintenance
Phonak states WindBlock 2.0 significantly reduces wind noise and improves clarity outdoors compared with the previous generation. In practice, that’s useful if you spend meaningful time outside. The E90 is also compatible with EasyGuard domes, a sealed design that helps stop earwax reaching the receiver, which in practice tends to mean fewer wax-related repairs and less day-to-day upkeep.
All-day rechargeable power
Phonak states the EON Sphere E90 hearing aids offer up to 38 hours of rechargeable battery life on a full charge, with actual runtime depending on how much you stream and your listening environment.
Who might benefit most from EON Sphere E90?
This is a good fit for anyone who finds group conversations, restaurants, family gatherings, or any setting with several people talking from different directions, genuinely tiring or difficult to follow. If your main frustration with hearing aids, NHS or private, has been “I can hear, I just can’t follow the conversation when it gets busy,” E90 is built specifically to address that.
