Phonak Audeo EON Sphere E50 Hearing Aids Overview

Launched in September 2026, the Phonak Audeo EON Sphere E50 hearing aids are Phonak’s entry-level tech. They are Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) hearing aid models, a discreet style with the speaker sitting in the ear canal and the main body worn behind the ear.  They are also rechargeable. What makes E50 genuinely notable is that it brings Spheric Speech Clarity, previously reserved for higher tiers on Phonak’s older Infinio Ultra range, down to this entry level for the first time.

Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0 at entry level

Phonak states Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0 is now available at the Standard 50 performance level for the first time. On the previous Infinio Ultra generation, this level of speech-in-noise technology wasn’t offered at the equivalent entry tier.

E50 doesn’t carry the full strength reserved for the top E90 tier, but it represents genuine access to Phonak’s dedicated speech-separation technology at a more accessible level than before.

Connectivity and Auracast

Phonak states EON Sphere E50 supports Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth LE Audio, and Auracast broadcast audio, and is compatible with Phonak’s Roger wireless microphones via RogerDirect.

Auracast is a newer Bluetooth feature that lets certain venues, theatres, museums, transport hubs, broadcast sound directly to compatible hearing aids, and Roger microphones are useful for meetings, lectures or one-to-one conversations at a distance.

Wind noise and everyday maintenance

Phonak’s own research states WindBlock 2.0 can reduce wind noise by up to 50 dB. In practice, that’s useful if you spend meaningful time outdoors. E50 is also compatible with EasyGuard domes, a sealed design that helps stop earwax reaching the receiver.

All-day rechargeable power

Phonak states EON Sphere E50 offers up to 38 hours of rechargeable battery life on a full charge, with actual runtime depending on how much you stream and your listening environment.
